It can be yours for… $300,000… and you need a pilot’s license… So I doubt we will be seeing them polluting the highways & airways anytime soon. Unless gaining a pilot’s license suddenly becomes as normal as getting a drivers license in the near future. I hope so!

Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson has developed ‘littlesun’, a small solar-powered lantern, in collaboration with entrepreneur Frederik Ottesen.
presented as part of the World Economic Forum, which is designed to bring forth proposals in how art can participate in creating world change,
the hand-sized device has been made to improve access to light and electricity to those living in small, rural communities in Africa
which are not built on an electric grid. the ‘little sun’ initiative provides an affordable, off-the-grid alternative to lighting for more than
2.5 million people in africa, who have an income of less than two dollars a day. Eliasson also plans to expand his research into
a few more solar products including a cell phone charger and radio.
Kinect will be on sale for Windows PCs in Feb and will allow you to control your PC through motion gestures…

Proteus Biomedical has received CE Mark approval from the European Union to bring to market the firm’s Raisin ingestible drug sensors and monitoring system. When a patient swallows tablets that have individually tagged beacons on them, a sensor can automatically record the precise time and basic vital signs of the patient at that time. The system allows physicians to get a better picture of how a patient responds to a given medication.
